The software is written in such a way, that it can run virtually on any database
and it is immaterial if it is installed on a local computer, server or located in a different town or even a different country.
You can even use different types of databases for your computers and the diary will still be compatible.
There are many databases on the modern market. The designers of ADI-diary.NET have chosen the award-winning DBISAM embedded database engine as their starting point.
It is a fast and very stable database engine with very strong resistance to data corruption.
For compatibility reasons with previous versions,
ADI-diary.NET can still work using Borland Database Engine but without supporting the Server option.

If our customers would like to use another kind of database, we would gladly incorporate it into ADI-diary.NET
